If we are used to breathing polluted air in our entire life, will we think fresh air smell weird?

If we are used to flying 1st class, will we feel annoyed if we are forced to fly economy class?

Yesh... I do feel frustrated whenever I am forced to take the public transportation during peak hours. But I think I am still grateful about recognising how blessed I am.

When we get used to sonething, we almost accepting it as a fact. If anything happens to change that "fact", we will have a strong emotional response to that change. Studies on happiness show that gratefulness directly boosts your happiness.

I used to take public transportation till the age of 28yo, am grateful that my hubby fetch me almost everywhr I go.

I used to work in a hectic and exhausting company, am grateful that I manage to find myself a stable and enriching job.

Ultimately, how we choose to react or feel is reflecting and contributing to our happiness or unhappiness. Either angry or be grateful... the choice is ours.
